Timothée Chalamet, one of the most talented actors of his generation, made a dramatic entrance at the London premiere of A Complete Unknown, where he stars as music legend Bob Dylan. The Call Me By Your Name actor, who is being nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal of Dylan, chose an unconventional way to arrive at the prestigious event.
Before the screening on Tuesday night, Chalamet was spotted arriving in one of London’s iconic Lime bikes. He parked the bike and casually walked to the red carpet, creating a buzz among the crowd. Onlookers were delighted to see one of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces on a bike, making his entrance a memorable one.
In A Complete Unknown, Chalamet takes on the role of Bob Dylan, with Monica Barbaro, Joan Baez, and Elle Fanning also starring in key roles. Fanning plays Sylvia Russo, a character inspired by Dylan’s former lover, Suze Rotolo. The film, which has received approval from Bob Dylan himself, has been adapted from Eliza Wald’s 2015 book Dylan Goes Electric. Dylan praised Chalamet’s performance, stating, “Timmy is a brilliant actor, so I’m sure he’ll do a great job portraying me, or maybe someone like me.”
The Complete Unknown was nominated for three Golden Globe Awards earlier this month, including Best Actor for Timothée and Best Supporting Actor for Edward Norton, who plays Pete Seeger. The film will hit UK cinemas on Friday, January 17th.
