Sharing her distress on X (formerly Twitter), Preity Zinta wrote:

“I never thought I would witness such a day when wildfires would break out near our neighborhood in LA. Friends and families are either evacuating or on high alert, while ashes fall from the smoky sky like snow. The fear and uncertainty, especially with children and elderly people around, is heartbreaking. Looking at the devastation around us, I feel sad but also grateful that we are still safe.”

She further added:

“My thoughts and prayers go out to those who have been displaced and lost everything in this fire. I hope the winds calm down soon, and the fire gets under control. A huge thank you to the firefighters and everyone helping to save lives. Stay safe, everyone.”
