Hollywood star Timothée Chalamet grabbed headlines when he arrived at the London premiere of A Complete Unknown on a Lime e-bike, ditching the traditional luxury car. While the eco-friendly choice impressed fans, it also landed him in an unexpected situation.

The Costly Mistake

During a French talk show Quotidien, the BAFTA-nominated actor revealed that he was fined £65 for parking his Lime bike in an unauthorized area near BFI Southbank. Speaking in French, Chalamet humorously justified his decision: “There was a traffic jam.” However, unaware that he had parked in a restricted zone, he joked about the irony of being fined despite giving the brand free publicity.

Not the Only One Penalized

Photographer Aidan Zamiri, who accompanied Chalamet on the bike ride, also faced a penalty. He later shared an Instagram clip of their journey across Westminster Bridge, captioning it as their “favorite mode of transport.” Unfortunately, their ride was cut short when Lime automatically ended the rental due to prolonged inactivity, and Zamiri was additionally fined £2 for improper parking.

Chalamet, portraying folk legend Bob Dylan in the biopic, made a bold entrance—first on the rented bike and later casually talking on his phone as paparazzi snapped pictures. He sported a black suit with a striking blue shirt, while his co-stars Monica Barbaro (playing Joan Baez) and Edward Norton (as Pete Seeger) joined him for the premiere.
